What it comes to fashion photography I find street shots most interesting and inspiring.. I remember myself at school age, spending time just googling street fashion pictures and saving them into my computer. This “hobi” didn’t end up till now, I still gather millions of great streetlooks in my phone.
Pictures in motion says much more about the clothes you wear. Same thing in Haute Couture photoshoots- right angle and pose gives so much more impact for the clothes and for the look. Today, when millions of bloggers around the world tries to copy these techniques it became so strong and powerful. When fashion weeks are happening in Paris or New York, one of the most inspiring moment just to scroll and see what are those new outfits and new street fashion posts.
As we were walking down the Riga oldtown and looking for great outfit pictures spot, we were discussing some fashion blogger differences, what spots are we using for fashion outfit photography. One of the most popular- interesting, antique or colorful doors!
Colors and buildings give a certain background, matches the style or make clothes even more visual and attractive. That is the key to pick the right background, as well as for selfies. If I have dark chocolate hair, I cant pick the same color background, if I am wearing something white, I can’t stand at a white building and etc. Finding the right background and lightning makes huge impact in pictures. I would say- lightning is even more important, you can’t fix the bad lightning! 😉
For this photoshoot I have picked quite interesting gotic style building with charismatic feeling 😉 Wearing: over the top earrings from H&M, Lindex bodycon dress, Zara red coat, H&M flare pants, Coccinelle B14 bag, DKNY watch, Dior So Real sunglasses, MAC retro liquid lipstick.
Amazing pictures and you look stunning. All the colors go so well together. You are very inspiring.
